Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church in San Luis Obispo, California, is a congregation of almost 500 members located just a few blocks from California Polytechnic State University.  We are a branch of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, an association of 11,000 Lutheran churches with 5.2 million members.

Our mission at Mt. Carmel: "As Christians committed to the belief that we are saved by grace through faith, the congregation of Mt. Carmel exists to GATHER in worship and fellowship, to GROW in the knowledge and love of Christ, and to GO in service to a world in need.
